Villa Papa Giovanni was inaugurated and blessed by his Grace the Archbishop of Malta Mgr Michael Gonzi on the 19th March 1974. It was designed by architect Arthur Cutugno.
The Villa included an indoor swimming pool, a hall, a gymnasium and a chapel.
