DESCRIPTION:On 27 October 2024\, PWD is organising an 8KM Bike Ride event.  The event is open to everyone\, from seasoned cyclists to leisurly riders. \nThe event will start at 8:00 AM\, with registration at the Large Car Park near the Formal Garden in Ta’ Qali.  \nThe participation fee is €10\, with all proceeds going to id-Dar tal-Providenza.  \nThe route begins at Malta National Park\, Ta’ Qali\, at 8:30 AM\, heading to Mdina with a stop at Gomorrino Bridge\, before returning to Ta’ Qali.  \nInterested participants can register through the provided link here. \nFor more information click on this link.

DESCRIPTION:Id-Dar tal-Providenza was founded by Mgr. Michael Azzopardi in 1965 with the aim of offering individualised residential services to Persons with Disabilities in a family-like environment.\nToday Id-Dar tal-Providenza is made up of three residences\, four community homes and hosts approximately hundred and fifteen persons between the ages of ten and over eighty years. It also offers respite services on a regular basis to families of persons with disabilities\, thus offering them support to enable the disabled family member to continue to live within their family. \nFesta ta’ Ġenerożità is organised annually primarily to raise funds so that id-Dar tal-Providenza can continue to provide and improve on the services it offers. All art pieces being auctioned have been generously donated by local and international artists. \nThe auction will be held as a LIVE AUCTION in the Foyer of the House of Representatives in Valletta. The Speaker of the House\, Hon. Dr Anglu Farrugia MP\, has consented  once more to make the exhibition of the art pieces for the auction in the Foyer\, and for the auction to be held in live in the Foyer of the House of Representatives. \nThe art pieces will be on display from 10th December until the day of the auction. \nThe auction will be carried out with the help of Obleisk Auctions\, Mr Pierre Grech Pillow\, as the auctioneer.
