Charity Swim in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza at the Sunny Coast Lido in Qawra

More than thirty people braved the sea at the Sunny Coast Lido in Qawra in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza. Despite the frigid waters at 19 degrees Celsius the beautiful weather encouraged the swimmers not to think twice before diving in, all for the Siġġiewi Home.

Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, thanked all those who decided to take the dive as well as Manuel Calleja and Alfred Debono on whose initiative the swim was held and the Management of the Sunny Coast Lido. A word of thanks also went to the St John Ambulance Brigade and the Civil Protection who were there just in case they were needed.
