New Administrator for Id-Dar tal-Providenza

Mrs. Nadine Camilleri Cassano has been appointed as the new Administrator at Id-Dar tal-Providenza.

Mrs. Camilleri Cassano studied at the University of Malta and she graduated in Accountancy B.A. (Hons) in 1995. Her thesis was “Suggestions for the Introduction of a Law Regulating Charities and Non-Profit Making Organizations”. Following her academic studies, she took up employment with leading Auditors’ Company where she worked for fifteen years both locally and abroad. Mrs. Camilleri Cassano is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Fellow of Malta Institute of Accountants (FIA). In 2011 she started working as an accountant at Id-Dar tal-Providenza. Mrs. Camilleri Cassano is married to Karl and they have two children.

Is-Sinjura Nadine Camilleri Cassano inħatret l-Ammistrattriċi l-ġdida tad-Dar tal-Providenza.

Is-Sinjura Camilleri Cassano studjat fil-Università ta’ Malta fejn fl-1995 iggradwat BA (Hons) Accountancy. It-teżi tagħha kienet tittratta l-introduzzjoni ta’ liġi li tirregola organizzazzjonijiet karitatevoli u mhux governattivi. (Suggestion for the Introduction of a Law Regulating Charities and Non-Profit Making Organizations). Wara li lestiet l-istudji akkademiċi tagħha, ħadmet għal ħmistax-il sena ma’ kumpanija ta’ awdituri ewlenija kemm f’Malta kif ukoll barra. Is-Sinjura Camilleri Cassano hi wkoll Certified Public Accountant (CPA) u Fellow tal-Malta Institute of Accountants (FIA). Fl-2011 bdiet taħdem bħala accountant mad-Dar tal-Providenza. Is-Sinjura Camilleri Cassano hija miżżewġa lil Karl u għandhom żewġt itfal.

“Today we look at the social model of disability that emphasizes differences rather than impairment. The emphasis is on the person and his abilities and not his lack of them.” This was stressed by Fr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, during the presentation ceremony of a trophy to the winner and certificates to all participants in the competition for the design of a new logo for the Home.

Four residents in pilgrimage to Lourdes

Four residents of Id-Dar tal-Providenza accompanied by their carers and Fr Martin Micallef, Director of the Home, were part of a Marian Pilgrimage to Lourdes organised by the Assoċċjazzjoni Volontarji Lourdes between August 29th and September 3rd 2014. On Monday September 1st all those that were part of the pilgrimage attended a Mass celebrated in Maltese by Fr Martin in the Massabielle Grotto where in 1958 Our Lady appeared to St Bernardina Soubirous

Erba’ residenti tad-Dar tal-Providenza akkumpanjati mill-carers tagħhom u Fr Martin Micallef, id-Direttur tad-Dar, attendew għal pellegrinaġġ Marjan organizzat mill-Assoċċjazzjoni Volontarji Lourdes bejn id-29 ta’ Awwissu u t-3 ta’ Settembru 2014. Nhar it-Tnejn, l-1 ta’ Settembru dawk kollha li ħadu sehem f’dan il-pellegrinaġġ attendew ma’ Maltin oħrajn għal quddiesa bil-Malti mmexxija minn Fr Martin Micallef, fil-Grotta ta’ Massabielle fejn fl-1858 il-Madonna dehret li Santa Bernardina Soubirous.
